I want to be clear: I don’t claim to be an expert in every issue. What I do bring is a strong understanding of how systems work, a willingness to learn from people closest to the work, and the ability to make thoughtful decisions that consider long-term impact.
Here are three areas where the county plays a direct role in building a sustainable, forward-thinking community:
What I’m Focused ON:
-
Clean, reliable water is foundational—to public health, economic stability, and environmental stewardship. County decisions about infrastructure and long-term planning matter. I believe in investing early, planning responsibly, and using good data so we’re prepared rather than reactive.
-
The county plays a central role in mental and behavioral health services. Too often, these systems are stretched thin and focused on crisis response. I believe we need better coordination, stronger access, and more investment upstream so people can get help earlier.
-
Transportation connects people to jobs, healthcare, education, and community life. When it doesn’t work, people are left out. I see public transportation as essential infrastructure that supports opportunity and quality of life across Polk County.
I’m running to help Polk County function in ways that are fair, sustainable, and worthy of the trust people place in public institutions.
I look forward to earning your trust and to listening to what matters most to you.
